MaraPets - Troouper the Brown Rusty

Trouper was the best chocolate lab family dog! We had him while I was growing up, from a little toddler to high school. He was not always the smartest of pups, but was loyal, loving, and always excited to see you. He was kind to our kitties, kind to kids and elderly people and nice to new people, and could always make you smile. One of his favorite things was pizza bones- aka pizza crusts. On pizza nights (Fridays) he barked like crazy for them, and always got them 🍕🍕🍕
He got into some crazy antics too! Trouper saved my brother's life too- my little brother got out of the house and just walked into the VERY busy street in front of our house when he was just a toddler and my parents hadn't had time to react, and Trouper went with him to protect him and make the cars stop! My parents ran out and saw the dog wagging his tail in the middle of the street with Robbie and cars stopped honking- he was very proud to protect his little brother! 🥹
He also did dumb things like jump out a window when the window was open and painters were working, and he landed on a painter on a ladder (no one was hurt!) or eat brownies/chocolate because he thought it was fine (he was somehow unhurt!!). Sigh, he was so silly. He was with us while we had a few cats and while Jake was growing up, and endured Jake's puppyhood while Trouper was already starting to be a very old man. He had the patience of a champ!!
He lived a long life til 13 or so, and left us peacefully. I'll always miss him, he was such a good boy.
